The useful handoff connects the backlog item, the built change, the launch finding, and the person responsible for the decision.

Keep the original intent visible

Start with the Jira issue or Azure Boards work item. Capture the user outcome, boundaries, owner, and acceptance conditions before an AI coding tool begins. When the first version works, compare the result with that intent instead of treating the generated implementation as the new specification.

Run Launch Check against the relevant repository, website, API, or archive. A product manager may focus on user impact and priority. An engineer may need the technical evidence. Reader modes let both people examine the same finding at useful depth.

Make the next handoff explicit

Record the launch decision back in the team’s normal system: fix before release, accept for now, investigate, or defer. Link the decision to the evidence so a later reader understands why the status changed.

The planned Mission Control conversion beta will provide another option. A selected Launch Check finding will become a tracked mission with its context and owner intact. It will complement the backlog rather than pretending every organization uses the same delivery process.

See the Jira product view

A walkthrough for product and program leaders coordinating AI-built work without losing ownership or launch context.

[4

post-28","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-field-notes
["GET
